1:1 Support Assistant
What the Role Involves
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a named pupil with additional needs throughout the school day
Implementing strategies outlined in the pupils
EHCP
under SENDCO guidance
Supporting the pupil to access the curriculum, engage with peers and participate positively in school life
Maintaining accurate records of progress and wellbeing and feeding back to the class teacher and SENDCO
Building a consistent, trusted and nurturing relationship with the pupil and their family
1:1 Support Assistant
What the School is Looking For
The ideal
1:1 Support Assistant
will hold a
2:1 or 1st Class degree
from a top 30 UK university. Previous experience supporting children with additional needs in a UK school or educational setting is highly valued.
They are seeking a patient, warm and dedicated
1:1 Support Assistant
with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference to one childs educational journey.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as the school is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
