2 Medical Secretaries - Ulster Hospital Dundonald

First Choice are currently recruiting for a 2 x Medical Secretaries to work within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, at their Ulster hospital Site.

This is a Full time, temporary post, working 0800 - 1600 Monday - Fridays, initially required for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. Pay rate is £12.75 per hour. 37 hours per week.

The successful candidate must be able to display excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have at least 1 year’s experience in a secretarial or admin role.

Main duties will be:
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to consultants, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams within a busy healthcare environment.
- Manage consultant diaries, coordinating outpatient clinics, meetings, and appointments to ensure the efficient delivery of services.
- Produce accurate medical correspondence, including clinic letters, referral letters, discharge summaries, and reports using audio and copy typing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records on electronic and paper-based systems in accordance with Trust policies and GDPR requirements.
- Process patient referrals, admissions, waiting lists, and follow-up appointments, ensuring compliance with departmental procedures and targets.
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, GPs, healthcare professionals, and external agencies, responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

What We Need From You
- 4 GCSE’s all grade C or above to include English and Maths
- 1 year Secretary experience ( minute taking/ dairy management and coordinating meetings)
- Experience using Microsoft Office
