Hegarty, one of the region’s leading law firms, are recruiting a 2+ year PQE Corporate Commercial Solicitor to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of Corporate and Commercial Law and be capable of managing their own caseload, working both independently and also as part of the team on major transactions.

You will be joining a modern and dynamic team that fully supports each and every individual, ensuring that everyone has a great work life balance. This role will be based at our Peterborough office, however, it may be necessary, on occasion, to travel to see clients at one of our other offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Company acquisitions (including management buy-outs) and disposals
• Company re-organisation, company mergers
• Shareholders Agreements
• Consultancy Agreements
• Joint Venture Agreements
• Preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts

Person Specification:

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment ensuring that challenging deadlines are met.
• Strong technical and client management skills.
• Strong communication skills, able to understand the client’s objectives and explain options in an accessible manner.
• Personable and confident with excellent commercial awareness.
• Willingness to develop a network of work referrers and engage in business development activities.
