Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Scheme Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients.
What the Job Will be doing
* Delivering an effective housing and tenancy management service across supported, sheltered and general needs schemes.
* Carrying out regular estate, building and health & safety inspections, ensuring schemes remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
* Monitoring fire safety systems, alarm testing, PEEPs and statutory compliance checks.
* Managing the cleanliness, security and presentation of communal areas, working closely with contractors to resolve issues.
* Supporting the letting of vacant properties and assisting with the voids process alongside Repairs and Asset teams.
* Managing tenancy sign-ups and supporting new residents to successfully settle into their homes.
* Monitoring rent accounts, promoting income collection and escalating arrears where appropriate.
* Managing low-level anti-social behaviour cases, completing risk assessments and implementing action plans.
* Supporting vulnerable residents by identifying safeguarding concerns and making referrals to relevant agencies.
* Working with residents to sustain tenancies and providing advice on local services and support available.
* Responding to resident enquiries and complaints, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered.
* Promoting resident engagement by supporting community activities, meetings and consultation events.
* Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring maintenance works are completed to the required standard.
* Maintaining accurate tenancy, compliance and health & safety records using housing management systems.
What You Will Need
* Previous experience within Housing Management, Independent Living, Sheltered Housing or Supported Housing.
* Good understanding of tenancy management and landlord responsibilities.
* Experience working with older or vulnerable residents.
* Knowledge of health & safety, fire safety and safeguarding within a housing environment.
* Experience managing voids, tenancy sign-ups and resident enquiries.
* Good understanding of rent collection and tenancy sustainment.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and external partners.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
* Good IT skills and experience using housing management systems and Microsoft Office
