Account Manager (Technical FM) – Critical & Broadcast Environments Chiswick, London Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm We're recruiting an Account Manager to take ownership of Facilities Management delivery across a high-profile media and broadcast campus in Chiswick. This is a technically demanding, client-facing role suited to someone who understands critical infrastructure as well as they understand people and contracts. This isn't a traditional FM management role. The client operates a live broadcast environment where uptime is non-negotiable, so the Account Manager needs real engineering credibility alongside strong commercial and stakeholder skills - someone equally comfortable in a plant room and a boardroom. The role As Account Manager, you'll lead a team of 9 engineers and 1 contract support, taking full responsibility for operational performance, compliance and customer satisfaction across the account. You'll manage the P&L, oversee PPM and reactive maintenance, and act as the main point of contact and escalation for a client that is highly technical and demanding. Key responsibilities for the Account Manager include: Full leadership of the FM account, including budgets, forecasting and commercial performance Ensuring safe, compliant operation of critical building services and technical infrastructure Leading PPM, reactive maintenance, lifecycle planning and project delivery Managing business continuity and risk across critical systems Building trusted relationships with client stakeholders and acting as their escalation point Driving contract performance against KPIs and SLAs Leading, coaching and developing a multi-disciplinary technical team Supporting incident investigation and root cause analysis within a live operational environmentWhat we're looking for Proven experience as an Account Manager, Contracts Manager or senior Engineering Manager within Facilities Management A strong technical background in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical or Critical Engineering Experience managing critical or high-availability environments — data centres, broadcast facilities, studios or similar Working knowledge of power distribution, UPS, standby generation, cooling systems and BMS Strong commercial acumen and experience managing operational budgets Excellent knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety legislation A confident, credible communicator able to manage senior client relationshipsDesirable Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering or Building Services IWFM, CIBSE or relevant industry membershipThis is a rare opportunity for an Account Manager to step into a genuinely technical, high-profile contract where no two days look the same.
