Desk-Based Account Manager Manchester City Centre | Fully On-Site | £30,000 basic salary+ benefits Monday - Friday, 8:45am - 5:00pm We’re looking for a professional, organised and customer-focused Desk-Based Account Manager to join our team in Manchester city centre. This is not a sales role and there are no sales targets. Instead, you’ll be responsible for supporting a portfolio of smaller client accounts from day one, building strong relationships and guiding them throughout their full customer journey. You’ll be the first point of contact for your clients, helping with everything from general account queries and billing questions to renewals and adding new products or services where these are appropriate for the customer. What you’ll be doing * Managing a portfolio of small client accounts from onboarding through to renewal * Building positive, long-term relationships with customers * Handling day-to-day account, service and general customer queries * Supporting customers with billing queries and ensuring these are resolved efficiently * Managing renewal conversations and processes * Helping clients add relevant products or services to their account when needed * Working closely with internal teams to provide a smooth customer experience * Keeping account information and customer interactions accurately updated What we’re looking for * Previous customer service experience is essential * Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing * A professional, approachable and helpful manner * Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage several customer queries at once * Confidence dealing with billing queries and resolving issues calmly * Someone who takes ownership, follows through and enjoys supporting customers * B2B experience is essential for this role... whether that be customer service, retentions, renewals or account management experience What’s on offer * £30,000 basic salary * Fully on-site role in Manchester city centre * Monday to Friday working hours, 8:45am - 5:00pm * A customer-focused position with no sales targets * The opportunity to develop an account management career within a rapidly growing business If you enjoy delivering excellent customer service, building relationships and taking ownership of the customer journey, we’d love to hear from you
