Accounts & Tax Manager

Are you an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager, Practice Manager or Client Manager from a general practice background who lives within commuting distance of Bromley in Kent, looking for a role where you can help run a small but rapidly growing and profitable sole practitioner accountancy firm? Are you looking to work in a newly created role (due to growth) which is vitally important for the continued growth of this practice which specialises in local SME / OMB clients? Are you keen to work in a hands on role, with a high element of client contact where you will report directly to the owner of the business? Your role will be varied and include managing a portfolio of clients (£600k), assisting with building and developing the client portfolio, managing workflow, preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, Vat returns and some very simple payrolls. You will be based in a small office in Bromley, Kent, and after 3 months your role can become hybrid. There is parking outside the office. The firm works with a wide array of Limited Companies and Sole Traders from various different sectors, with turnovers to £3m although most clients are between £50k and £1m turnover. The firm is very entrepreneurial and forward thinking and uses online software such as Xero and Quickbooks and Iris. There will also be the opportunity to carry out many ad hoc and advisory based projects for clients.
