Are you an experienced Activities Coordinator ready to take the next step in your career? Activities Lead £13.52 per hour Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
- Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (weekend work may occasionally be required to support events taking place on weekends) Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Activities Lead to join our care home team and take responsibility for delivering a varied, engaging and person-centred activities programme for our residents.
Previous experience delivering activities within a care home environment is essential for this role.
We are looking for someone who understands the importance of meaningful activities in supporting residents' wellbeing, independence, confidence and quality of life, and who has experience adapting activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of older people, including those living with dementia.
You will plan and deliver a wide range of group and one-to-one activities, ensuring they are engaging, inclusive and tailored to residents' interests and care needs.
From creative and social activities to outings, celebrations and special events, you will play a key role in creating a warm, stimulating and enjoyable environment for our residents.
Building strong relationships with residents and getting to know their individual interests, personalities and preferences will be central to the role.
You will work closely with the Home Manager and wider care team to ensure activities complement individual care plans and provide meaningful opportunities for social interaction and engagement.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate activity records, encouraging participation and continually reviewing the programme to ensure it remains varied, effective and responsive to our residents.
W hat We Are Looking For Previous experience delivering activities within a care home or similar care environment is essential A genuine understanding of the importance of meaningful activities within a care setting Experience planning and delivering activities for older people, including residents living with dementia Proven experience organising and supporting events and activities within a care environment Ability to develop activities around residents' individual interests, abilities and care needs Creative, enthusiastic and proactive approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently while working effectively as part of the wider care team Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years About us Westerton Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family owned, market leading care provider with a strong and growing presence across the United Kingdom.
