This role will lead the Parts division for our Aftermarket division and work cross functionally with our service team to promote retail opportunities. This role will be responsible for all activities related to Parts Supply and customer care.
Ensuring best-in-class performance in our parts business.
This role ensures exceptional service delivery maximises customer satisfaction and drives revenue growth byenhancing our customer service and parts offerings. Maintaining our core KPIs across the function.
A strategic growth plan for the year is to be generated in line with the MBP with all key stakeholders responsible for the delivery and adherence to the KPIs set. Exploring a robust and profitable all makes program.
The Head of Aftermarket Business Parts will work cross financially with the Customer Service team, Field Services engineers and technical service team to align our aftermarket business services strategies with broader business objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Leadership
Foster a culture of collaboration, high performance, and customer-centricity within the aftermarket parts division
Leading and mentoring parts sales team, logistics and support staff
Strategic and Parts planning development
Develop and execute a comprehensive aftermarket parts strategy to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and growth.
Ident i fy and implement new business service offerings and technologies to enhance the customer experience.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery, focusing on innovation, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of parts and services.
In collaboration with Warranty Manager, ensure full knowledge and compliance of contractual arrangements.
Explore retail opportunities post warranty contractual arrangements
Manage Inventory levels ensuring that slow moving parts are identified early before becoming obsolete.
Revenue Growth
Increase revenue and maintain margin on parts sales in line with our MPB
Explore opportunities for new commercial revenue growth
Provide insights into customer feedback to influence future product improvements and service offerings.
Financial Management
Develop and manage the budget for the aftermarket business parts department, ensuring all expenditures are within the allocated budget.
Analyse financial performance and implement strategies to drive or recover revenue, profitability and cost control.
These duties are not exhaustive, other ad-hoc duties are as required.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
Essential
10 years + experience in the bus industry OE or OES
Strong customer relationships bringing established links.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to coach and develop.
Extensive knowledge of aftermarket distribution and value-added services, including replacement spare parts and aftermarket service
Desirable
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
In-depth understanding of aftermarket service operations, including parts, warranties, and customer support.
Ability to think strategically while excelling in day-to-day business functions.
