Air Import Operator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding company based in the Staines area.

You will join a busy import operations team, managing general freight shipments and ensuring all import documentation, customs requirements and customer expectations are handled accurately and efficiently.

• Coordinate Air Import shipments from arrival through to final delivery.

• Complete and process customs import entries accurately and in line with company procedures.

• Handle Dangerous Goods shipments in accordance with IATA regulations.

• Liaise with airlines, handling agents, customers, overseas offices and transport providers.

• Prepare and check import documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, customs paperwork and arrival documentation.

• Monitor shipments and provide customers with regular updates throughout the import process.

• Resolve operational issues and delays quickly and effectively.

• Ensure files are completed, costed and invoiced accurately within agreed timescales.
