Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs)
to support non-emergency patient transport services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by ensuring patients are transported safely, comfortably, and with dignity. The Role
As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will: Safely transport patients to and from hospitals, clinics and healthcare appointments. Provide high-quality care and reassurance throughout each journey. Assist patients with mobility and manual handling where required. Complete vehicle and equipment safety checks. Maintain accurate documentation and follow all health and safety procedures. Deliver excellent patient care while remaining calm and professional in challenging situations. Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have: A valid
First Aid Certificate . An
Enhanced DBS Certificate
issued within the last 12 months
or
registered on the DBS Update Service. Completed
Care Certificate Standards . Previous experience working in a health or social care setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A caring, compassionate and professional attitude. The ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights if required. Desirable
Previous experience as an Ambulance Care Assistant or within patient transport. Moving & Handling practical training. Full UK driving licence (if applying for a driving position).
