Applications Engineer

Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm Overseas Travel Required A well-established specialist machine tool manufacturer is currently looking to recruit an experienced Machine Tool Applications Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an advanced engineering environment supporting high-precision CNC grinding and machining applications across global customer sites. As a Machine Tool Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for machine programming, setup, testing, installation, and customer support across a range of CNC grinding and machining applications. Understanding and writing CNC programs, mainly Siemens 840 controls Grinding and machining components to engineering drawings Programming and setting machines for grinding customer sample parts Developing processes to optimise machine cycles Installing NC standard machine cycles and operational data Carrying out full functional testing of machines to internal procedures Preparing machines and associated equipment for PDI and customer installation Carrying out machine installations, testing, and customer training globally Providing technical sales support including tooling and time studies Supporting customers with aftersales technical support Previous experience programming and setting CNC machines Experience with 3 to 5 axis CNC machinery Willingness to travel internationally and work on customer sites globally Competent IT skills including office software packages Ability to read machine parts lists, assembly drawings, and basic electrical drawings To apply for the Machine Tool Applications Engineer position, click Apply Now and upload your CV.
