Talent Media are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading global engineering and industrial manufacturing organisation to recruit an Applications Engineer.
Our client is recognised worldwide for delivering highly engineered solutions that support critical industrial processes across a diverse range of sectors. Due to continued growth and ongoing investment in innovation, they are now seeking an ambitious Applications Engineer to join their Commercial Operations team.
You'll work on technically challenging projects, influence product development, collaborate with customers and colleagues across the globe, and play a key role in developing the next generation of engineering solutions.

As Applications Engineer, you will act as the technical bridge between customers, engineering, commercial teams, and product development.
You'll combine hands-on engineering expertise with problem-solving, technical analysis, customer engagement, and innovation to deliver high-value solutions across a global customer base.
Provide specialist applications engineering support across sales, contracts, aftermarket, and engineering functions.
Assess technical risks and ensure solutions are commercially and technically viable.
Prepare and deliver high-quality technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation.
Produce and revise Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using CAD software.
Utilise engineering tools and calculations to support equipment selection and configuration.
Support research and development activities, helping bring innovative products and technologies to market.
Identify opportunities to improve product performance, enhance customer value, and reduce manufacturing costs.
We're looking for an engineer who combines strong technical capability with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for innovation.
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Previous experience within a manufacturing, industrial, process, power generation, or heavy engineering environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics and mechanics.
Experience producing technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or similar.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound engineering decisions with minimal supervision.
Comfortable operating within office, manufacturing, and customer site environments.
