A well-established architectural practice is seeking a driven, talented, and adaptable Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its dynamic team. The practice works across a diverse and impactful portfolio, including healthcare, education, social housing, public sector, and residential developments, alongside occasional interior design projects. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives on variety, possesses strong technical skills in Revit and AutoCAD, and is eager to gain hands-on experience across all project stages—from initial concepts to on-site delivery. Key Responsibilities * Design & Detail: Assist the architectural team in developing scheme designs through to detailed design stages, producing comprehensive working drawing packages for tender and construction. * Planning & Building Control: Prepare Planning and Building Regulations drawings using Revit and AutoCAD; submit applications and resolve queries with building control bodies. * Collaboration & Coordination: Liaise with internal cross-disciplinary teams, external consultants, sub-contractors, and specialist suppliers to ensure fully integrated technical documentation. * Surveys & Site Delivery: Conduct measured building surveys and support the Project Architect during the construction phase, including attending site meetings. * Job Running & Specification: Draft technical specifications and, under supervision, take responsibility for day-to-day job running on designated projects. * Risk & Quality Management: Participate in regular project reviews to maximize delivery standards and implement measures to identify, manage, and minimize project risks. Requirements & Essential Attributes * Technical Skills: Strong IT skills with proven experience using Revit and AutoCAD. (Interior design capability is a welcome advantage). * Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team working and stakeholder liaison. * Work Ethic: Confident working independently using personal initiative while remaining a collaborative team member. * Career Drive: Highly motivated to learn, take on responsibility, and actively manage professional development. * Eligibility: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
