We're looking for a proactive Area Maintenance Surveyor to join our Asset Maintenance Team and help keep our social housing homes safe, compliant and fit for the future.
This is an exciting time to join Wiltshire Council as we invest in our housing stock, improve energy efficiency and deliver ambitious programmes of repair, maintenance and improvement work across our homes.
You'll manage a patch of properties, carrying out inspections and surveys, diagnosing defects, and ensuring the successful delivery of responsive repairs, damp and mould works, void repairs, disrepair cases and planned maintenance programmes.
You'll inspect homes for HHSRS hazards, specify remedial works and ensure all activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Working closely with tenants, colleagues and contractors, you'll provide technical advice, monitor contractor performance, manage quality and costs, and help shape longer-term investment and asset improvement programmes.
You'll undertake stock condition surveys, identify maintenance priorities and contribute to improving the quality, sustainability and compliance of our homes.
You'll have experience in building repairs, maintenance, surveying, refurbishment or contract management, ideally within a social housing environment.
You'll be confident diagnosing building defects, using your professional judgement to manage competing priorities and deliver effective solutions.
You'll be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills, able to produce clear technical reports and explain property-related issues to residents, colleagues and contractors.
You'll also be confident using Microsoft Office and housing asset management systems to record, analyse and report information accurately. xwzovoh
