Role: Assay Development Scientist Location: Motherwell, Scotland (Onsite) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Pay: £12.71 - £14.02 per hour PAYE basic, plus holiday pay Contract: 12 month contract An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assay Development Scientist to join one of our longstanding global healthcare clients at their Motherwell site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative R&D team developing next-generation diagnostic technologies. You will be responsible for designing, executing and analysing experimental work while contributing to the development of innovative diagnostic products. Benefits 12-month contract 25 days holiday + bank holidays On-site and free parking Opportunity to work for a global diagnostics leader Collaborative research and development environment Exposure to cutting-edge diagnostic technologies The Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with industry experience Experience within diagnostics or laboratory research Knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology Strong data analysis and computer skills Excellent technical documentation and report writing skills Experience working within GLP, GMP or GDP environments desirable Experience with particle-based immunoassays, fluorescent detection or whole blood assays advantageous The Role Support multiple R&D workstreams from planning through to completion Design, execute and improve experimental protocols Perform laboratory testing and assay development activities Analyse experimental data and provide technical recommendations Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation Identify opportunities for continuous improvement Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams If you're keen to join an exceptional team who can offer innovative scientific projects and the opportunity to develop within a world-leading diagnostics organisation, then please apply to this Assay Development Scientist role below or call Chloe McCausland on (phone number removed) between 8:30am - 5:00pm
