Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer Location: Shotton, Flintshire (CH5) Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + bonus and excellent benefits We’re recruiting an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime within a fast-paced process environment. The role You’ll work closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to develop a more proactive, data-led approach to asset care. Key responsibilities will include: * Developing risk-based preventative maintenance plans * Completing asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys * Maintaining an Asset Risk Register and delivering improvement plans * Using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques to improve reliability and MTBF * Introducing and developing condition-monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography and lubrication analysis * Planning and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and line outages * Reviewing critical spares and improving inventory accuracy and availability * Supporting capital projects with scopes, business cases and acceptance criteria * Coaching operators in basic asset care and autonomous maintenance * Ensuring all work meets required health, safety, quality and environmental standards What we’re looking for * HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline * Practical engineering experience within manufacturing, process, production or another high-volume environment * Working knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA and RCM * Experience of preventative maintenance, CMMS scheduling and condition monitoring * Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to turn technical data into clear, practical maintenance actions * Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments * A safety-focused and methodical approach The package * Salary of £40,000–£45,000 * Annual performance-related bonus * 35 days’ annual leave * Annual salary review * Private healthcare * Excellent pension scheme, including a 10% employer contribution based on a 6% employee contribution * Ongoing professional and technical training * Free onsite parking * Employee assistance programme * Retail and lifestyle discounts This is a permanent opportunity offering genuine influence over asset strategy and reliability performance at a substantial UK manufacturing operation.
