Assistant Accountant/ Payroller
- Location: Belfast City Centre
- Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Office-based (1-day from home after probation)
- Salary: Competitive/dependent on experience
Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a well-known Belfast City Centre based company who are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant/ Payroller to join their team of a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful Assistant Accountant/ Payroller will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and driving positive change within the finance function and wider business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- End-to-end payroll processing: UK and ROI monthly payroll for circa 90 employees
- Post payroll journals, reconcile accounts, and advise employees on pension contributions
- Sales ledger invoice processing
- Credit Control duties
- Purchase Ledger invoice processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Support audits and reporting
- General accounts and administrative duties
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-3 years within an Accounts/ Finance Related role
- Payroll experience is essential
- IT Proficient to include accountancy software packages
- Accounting Technician/ Part Qualified and/or Payroll CIPP qualifications (desirable)
