We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic
Assistant General Manager
to join our team in High Wycombe. This role is pivotal to the success of our retail and sales operations, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our business growth and customer satisfaction. As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, lead teams, and ensure the highest standards of service are met. Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in managing all aspects of store operations to achieve sales targets and profitability. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales and retail staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment. Monitor and analyse sales performance, stock levels, and financial reports to inform strategic decisions. Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered, resolving any issues promptly and professionally. Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management of team members. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to implement promotional activities and visual merchandising standards. Contribute to business planning and development initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within retail or sales environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good understanding of retail operations, sales strategies, and customer service principles. Competent in analysing financial and sales data to drive decision-making. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with health and safety and HR best practices is desirable. Relevant qualifications in business management or retail operations are an advantage. Benefits
