Assistant Production Manager (Nightshift)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Salary - Up to £45,000 plus shift allowance
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (6pm - 6am)
Alexander Steele is partnering with a leading Manufacturing business based in Kent, who are looking to hire an Assistant Production Manager. Youll be responsible for leading and developing a team on shift to meet production, quality, and safety targets while driving continuous improvement on the line.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to meet planned targets.
- Allocate manpower and resources efficiently across production lines.
- Minimize downtime through proactive coordination with maintenance and quality teams.
- Drive initiatives for productivity improvement, waste reduction, and resource optimization.
- Ensure accurate recording of production data, material usage, and finished goods in ERP systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (output, efficiency, waste, downtime) and provide timely reports.
- Validate system transactions to maintain data integrity for inventory and traceability.
