Assistant Quality Manager

Role: Assistant Quality Manager Location: Bristol Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience My client well-established aerospace engineering business based in Bristol, looking for an experienced Assistant Quality Manager to join their team. The role will involve leading a small team of Quality Inspectors and working closely with the Quality Manager to manage the day-to-day quality function. This would suit someone with a background in quality engineering or quality management who has some supervisory experience and is looking for the next step in their career. You will need to be comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, dealing with quality issues and finding practical solutions on the shop floor. Responsibilities include: Leading and motivating a small team of Quality Inspectors Supporting the training and development of the team Managing the throughput of finished goods from a quality perspective Managing the day-to-day quality requirements of the sub-contract supplier base Supporting FMEA and FAIR activities Maintaining documentation and records relating to quality activities Programming CMMs Acting as the link between the Quality Inspectors and Quality Manager Investigating quality issues and providing practical solutions on the shop floor Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, route cards and process instructions Reviewing dimensions, tolerances and inspection requirements...
