An exceptional opportunity has opened up for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship, multi-million-pound luxury residential project located in Lancaster Gate. Working hand-in-hand with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will gain invaluable, hands-on exposure to all commercial aspects of a complex high-end build—making this the ideal stepping stone for an aspiring surveyor looking to accelerate their career. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with day-to-day cost control, cost management, and financial tracking processes. * Support the preparation of accurate and timely Cost Reports and valuation updates. * Help evaluate subcontractor applications, manage variations, and assist with final account settlements. * Maintain meticulous attention to detail while conducting commercial analyses and reconciling discrepancies. * Collaborate closely with site teams, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery. What We Are Looking For * Qualifications: Relevant academic qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related field. * Experience: Previous experience working within the high-end residential sector is strongly preferred. * Commercial Acumen: A strong, foundational understanding of Cost Control and Cost Management processes. * Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial tracking, cost reporting, and industry-standard quantity surveying software/tools. * Soft Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities, sharp attention to detail, and effective communication skills for building strong working relationships. * Mindset: A genuine appetite to learn, progress, and gain exposure across prestigious, high-value projects.
