Assistant Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a major UK house builder on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager with a strong residential background to join an established site team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality housing development safely, efficiently and to programme. The Role Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring construction activities are delivered to the required standards and programme. Key responsibilities will include: * Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development. * Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site teams. * Monitoring progress against the build programme. * Ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained. * Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring homes are built to the required standards. * Coordinating materials, labour and plant to maintain progress. * Identifying and resolving construction issues as they arise. * Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider site team. * Maintaining accurate site records and construction documentation. * Assisting with snagging, completion and handover of properties. * Ensuring the site is kept safe, clean and well organised. * Providing regular updates to the Site Manager on progress and any issues affecting the programme. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential house building. * Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements. * Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities. * A keen eye for quality and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team. * A proactive, reliable and professional approach. * CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager looking for a temporary position with a major house builder.
