Assistant Site Manager – Cut & Carve Refurbishment Location: West Brompton, London Salary: Competitive + Package Employer: Leading Main Contractor The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established main contractor on an exciting cut & carve refurbishment project in West Brompton. The scheme will involve the extensive refurbishment and redevelopment of an existing building to create approximately 60 residential units. Working as the No. 2 to the Senior Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, gaining valuable exposure to a complex refurbishment scheme from start through to completion. The Role Reporting directly to the Senior Site Manager, your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the Senior Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the project. * Taking responsibility for specific areas and packages of the works. * Coordinating subcontractors and site trades. * Monitoring progress against the programme and reporting any issues. * Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards. * Carrying out regular quality inspections and snagging. * Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed across site. * Assisting with site inductions, toolbox talks and RAMS. * Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics. * Liaising with the Senior Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and wider project team. * Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on progress. * Helping to drive the project through to successful completion. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within the construction industry. * Experience working for a main contractor. * A background in residential refurbishment, new build or fit-out. * Experience working on complex refurbishment projects would be highly advantageous. * Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and site management. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities. * Relevant qualifications including CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid.
