We're now looking for an Assistant Technical Manager to join our Places Developments technical team, supporting the delivery of high-quality development projects across our portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their technical career who is ambitious, eager to learn and keen to build hands-on experience in residential development. As an Assistant Technical Manager , you'll support senior members of the team in delivering the technical aspects of a varied portfolio of residential development projects across the Midlands and North region. This is a predominantly home-based role, with the team coming together at our Leeds office every Thursday. There may also be occasional site visits as required to support project delivery. Supporting local authority approvals including Building Control, planning conditions, S38, S104 (England) and Warrant/RCC (Scotland) Assisting the Development team with technical input to planning applications Building effective working relationships with NHBC and Building Control to support timely CML and plot completions Supporting handovers to Commercial, Build, Sales and Asset teams and providing clear, accurate technical information Developing a basic understanding of key technical areas including planning systems, utilities, geotechnical and environmental constraints (e.g. noise, ecology) Preparing reports and progress schedules for the Head of Technical / Technical Director Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Knowledge of CDM Regulations and building safety act That'ssomeone that does the right thing, is enthusiastic and motivated to grow, believes in Community spirit, is respectful and enjoys their work.
