Associate Director - Tax

Role Overview

Join our Private Capital Corporate Tax team as an Associate Director. You will work with a varied client base, ranging from owner‑managed businesses to private equity backed companies.

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad range of clients on a range of tax issues, covering compliance and advisory projects.
• Participate actively in client meetings, answering queries concisely and confidently.
• Build trust with clients by delivering high‑quality tax advice, meeting expectations and deadlines.
• Lead project delivery, coordinating with wider Tax teams to ensure optimal skill utilisation.
• Develop junior team members, supporting their career aspirations.
• Provide innovative solutions to client tax issues and proactively cross‑sell wider firm services.
• Lead on pitches and proposals, growing the business through market presence and demonstration of capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Professional qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with post‑qualification experience.
• Confidence managing a portfolio of entrepreneurial business clients.

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and working knowledge of international concepts.
• Experience reviewing work and supervising people in a tax environment.
• Experience in a professional services environment.
• Experience managing a large portfolio of tax clients.
• Demonstrable business development experience.
• Eagerness to develop deep knowledge of firm services and capabilities.
