Associate Transport PlannerLocation: London | Hybrid WorkingSalary: Up to 70,000 + 4,000 Car Allowance + Excellent BenefitsI'm working with one of the UK's largest independent transport planning consultancies, who are looking to strengthen their London team with an experienced Associate Transport Planner.The consultancy works on a wide range of complex development and transport projects, providing innovative solutions to clients across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport planner looking to take greater ownership of projects, develop client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.The RoleAs an Associate Transport Planner, you'll lead a range of complex development-related projects, providing technical direction and strategic advice to clients. Your responsibilities will include:Leading multiple transport planning projects from inception through to deliveryOverseeing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and highway design deliverablesDeveloping transport strategies, including multi-modal trip generation, forecasting and scenario testingProviding technical expertise across transport modelling and planningManaging project teams, delegating tasks and overseeing budgets, quality and programmeLiaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholdersRepresenting clients at meetings, consultations and public inquiries where requiredProviding strategic advice on transport planning, sustainability and development proposalsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsSupporting business development, bids and identifying new opportunitiesMentoring and developing junior and senior members of the teamAbout YouWe're looking for an experienced transport planner with around 10 years' experience in development-related transport planning.You should have:Extensive experience delivering Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Access AppraisalsStrong technical knowledge of transport planning, modelling and highway designExperience with TRICS, TEMPRO, Junctions, LinSig and similar softwareKnowledge of MfS, DMRB, LTN 1/20, Active Travel guidance and Healthy Streets principlesExperience leading projects and managing project teamsStrong commercial awareness and client management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesConfidence in making technical decisions and providing strategic adviceKnowledge of strategic modelling tools such as VISSIM, Paramics or SATURNMembership of a relevant professional body such as TPS, CIHT, ICE or CILTChartership, or working towards chartership, would be advantageous.Experience with large-scale development projects, business development, expert witness work or public inquiries would also be beneficial.What's on OfferSalary up to 70,0004,000 car allowanceFamily Private HealthcareCritical Illness CoverLife Assurance - 3x salaryDiscretionary bi-annual bonus25 days' holiday + bank holidays, increasing with long service5% employer pension contribution, increasing to 15% with long serviceProfessional development and training opportunitiesPayment of two professional subscriptionsOpportunity to work on high-profile and technically interesting projectsExcellent opportunities for progression within a growing independent consultancyPlease apply or get in touch if interested.Will Herman 07581619823Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
