Controls & Automation Engineer
to join their expanding Production Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking engineering environment, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising automation solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance across modern manufacturing facilities. You will work with cutting-edge control technologies, collaborate with experienced engineering teams across multiple sites, and contribute to the delivery of innovative automation and smart manufacturing initiatives. The Role As a
Controls & Automation Engineer , you will be responsible for: Designing, developing, programming, and enhancing control systems for new and existing production equipment Programming and supporting PLC-based automation systems to improve machine performance and reliability Configuring, maintaining, and optimising SCADA and HMI platforms Investigating and resolving complex electrical, automation, and control system issues Supporting production teams with technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities Working collaboratively with engineering teams across multiple locations on equipment upgrades and improvement projects Supporting the implementation of smart manufacturing and automation initiatives About You We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation and manufacturing environments. You will ideally have: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline Proven experience working with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems Experience with Mitsubishi PLC systems (preferred) Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including:
EtherNet/IP Modbus CC-Link
Experience with VFD/VSD drives and motion/control systems Previous experience supporting live production or manufacturing operations Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering and production teams Why Join?
