We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Imaging Assistant to join our Diagnostic Imaging team on a Bank basis.

This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.

This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while gaining experience in a busy healthcare environment. You'll support radiographers, sonographers and the wider clinical team to ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care throughout their imaging journey.

Working in a fast-paced department, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.

Main duties of the job

As our Imaging Assistant, you will be:
  • Supporting radiographers and sonographers in delivering safe and effective patient care.
  • Assisting with patient preparation and providing reassurance before and during imaging procedures.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth and efficient patient pathways.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control within clinical areas and equipment.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues to support a positive patient experience.
  • Supporting both direct and indirect patient care under supervision, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Contributing to team discussions and supporting the induction of new colleagues where appropriate.
