Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people who may experience behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties? A supportive and inclusive Specialist School in Reading is looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour and a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and learning difficulties. You will provide individualised support to help pupils develop positive behaviour strategies and improve their emotional regulation. The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will work alongside experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for every pupil. This Behaviour Support Assistant role will involve: Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies Helping to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroomThis Behaviour Support Assistant role would be ideal for someone with experience working with children, young people, SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.
