Bid Writer We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer with at least two years’ bid writing experience from the civil engineering or construction sector. The position can be based at either our client’s Cheshire or London offices with some hybrid working. Due to continued expansion, an abundant pipeline of works, and the recent award of a number of significant framework contracts, our client is now looking to appoint a talented and motivated Bid Writer to join their successful and growing work-winning team. In this key role, you will produce high‑quality, compelling bid content that clearly articulates developed win themes and supports the submission of outstanding tenders across public and private civil engineering sectors. Working closely with colleagues, technical specialists and the preconstruction team, you will research, develop and write content for bids, presentations and marketing materials, while helping manage multiple short‑duration tenders efficiently. Act as Bid Writer for allocated tenders, managing the process from opportunity to submission. * Develop methodology responses, project approaches and value proposals * Edit and proofread submissions to ensure clarity and consistency * Proven experience in bid writing with a strong ability to produce clear, compelling content. * Skilled at extracting technical information from subject matter experts and translating this into high‑quality written content. * Excellent written communication, editing and proofreading skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). * Our client is one of the UK’s leading civil enginerring, structures and specialist construction sub-contractor known for delivering some of the country’s most complex and iconic infrastructure projects.
