Bookkeeper  Lyndey Position: Full Time or Part Time / Permanent Salary: DOE Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a role where you can take ownership of your work and build strong relationships with clients? A well-established accountancy practice in Lydney is looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and professional team. This is a varied role offering autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to work across a range of client accounts. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping requirements and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients Complete bank reconciliations and maintain purchase and sales ledgers Process invoices, payments and journals Prepare and submit VAT returns Use accounting software, including Sage 50, to manage client records Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes Liaise with clients regarding bookkeeping queries and information Ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met The Ideal Candidate Recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice Previous experience in a bookkeeping role Good working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar accounting software Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Comfortable managing your own workload and working to deadlines Professional and confident when communicating with clients Reliable, practical and able to work effectively as part of a team Next Steps If you’re an experienced bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity and would like to find out more, please apply with your CV for confidential consideration and email (url removed) or apply here We also welcome confidential conversations if you’re considering your next career move and would like to discuss the market before making a decision. #ASRBK
