Quantity Surveyor - Groundworks / Housing Salary/Package - £45,000 - £70,000 + Excellent Benefits Package Our client is an established specialist contractor operating within the groundworks and civil engineering sector, with extensive experience delivering groundworks packages for residential and housing developments. The business works closely with house builders, developers, and main contractors, delivering high-quality groundworks solutions across a range of residential schemes. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Liverpool. As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of groundworks packages across residential and housing projects. Managing the commercial performance of allocated groundworks projects Preparing and monitoring CVRs, forecasts, and cost reports Managing subcontract procurement and supplier accounts Preparing valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts Reviewing project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities Working closely with site and project teams to monitor delivery and financial performance Managing commercial documentation and contractual requirements Liaising with clients, developers, house builders, and main contractors Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Supporting the successful commercial delivery of residential groundworks projects The successful Quantity Surveyor will have: Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction Groundworks experience is essential Strong experience within residential / housing projects Experience working for a groundworks subcontractor would be highly advantageous Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, valuations, and final accounts Experience managing subcontractor accounts and procurement Good understanding of construction contracts Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction qualification Excellent benefits package Strong pipeline of residential groundworks projects Opportunity to work with established house builders and main contractors Long-term career progression within a growing specialist contractor Opportunity to take genuine ownership of commercial performance Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
