Are you a Building Surveyor looking for greater variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the South West? A highly regarded property consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its established Exeter team. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary group of property professionals, you'll be involved in the delivery of a varied workload across public and private sector estates, encompassing everything from schools and commercial properties to residential and heritage assets. This role is ideal for a Building Surveyor with consultancy experience who enjoys a blend of project and professional work and is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and flexible environment. The Role This is a varied position combining both project delivery and professional surveying duties, including: Surveying properties and producing accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings. Preparing plans and documentation for tender purposes. Producing specifications, pre-construction safety documentation, and tender packages. Managing and administering tender processes. Undertaking contract administration duties under JCT Minor Works and Intermediate Forms of Contract. Managing refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects from inception through to completion. Conducting building inspections, condition surveys, and defect diagnosis. Attending client, contractor, and stakeholder meetings whilst providing professional advice. About You Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline. Previous consultancy or private practice Building Surveying experience. Experienced in surveying existing properties and producing 2D AutoCAD drawings. Ability to prepare plans, specifications, pre-construction documentation, and tender packages. Contract administration experience under JCT Minor Works and Intermediate Contracts. Good understanding of Building Regulations and construction processes. Strong communication and client-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects whilst working both independently and as part of a wider team.
