This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to drive business growth by developing new customer relationships, supporting key accounts, and building strategic partnerships. You will play a key role in expanding market presence and delivering hygiene solutions across Scotland and the North of England.

Roles and responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

  • Drive new business development by identifying opportunities, securing new contracts, and delivering sustainable sales growth.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop tailored, and competitive proposals and lead tender submissions to win new business.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders, delivering presentations and influencing decision-makers at all levels.
  • Work with colleagues to maximise business opportunities, retain key accounts, and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and support strategic business objectives.

Experience and Qualifications required from Business Development Manager :

  • Proven success in business development, account management, or sales within the Professional Hygiene or On Premises Laundry (OPL) sector.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to identify market opportunities, understand customer requirements, and deliver against sales objectives.
  • Strong relationship building, negotiation, and communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Scotland and the North of England, with occasional overnight stays and visits across Europe as required.
