Full Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00am-5:30pm Working closely with the Trustees and Care Manager, the Business Manager will play a key role in delivering the strategic objectives, ensuring strong governance, sound financial and administrative systems, and effective business support for this not-for-profit organisation. You will oversee the development and implementation of robust policies and compliance frameworks, while taking a proactive and planned approach to marketing and new business development. Key Responsibilities Translate agreed objectives into practical business plans. Prepare and present reports, management information and recommendations to Trustees. Update communication of policies, working with the Registered Care Manager where a policy relates to safeguarding or clinical practice. Maintain a clear annual policy review timetable and provide assurance that required reviews have been completed. Support compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and governance requirements, this includes health and safety, data protection, employment requirements, insurance and business continuity. Take responsibility for developing and maintaining an annual marketing and business development strategy, aimed at increasing awareness, appropriate service take-up, and sustainable occupancy. Develop an annual marketing action plan with clear priorities, target audiences, activities, responsibilities, budgets and measurable outcomes. Oversee the organisations external profile and marketing activity, including website content, printed information, community engagement, events. Work with the Finance & Payroll Manager to support the annual budgeting process, financial planning, management reporting and effective financial controls. Oversee contracts and supplier arrangements from an operational and commercial perspective, ensuring value for money. Lead the organisations HR administration and workforce processes, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, absences and maintenance of employment records. Ensure all aspects of Health and safety regarding premises, grounds and working practices are managed safely. You will: Be an experienced Business Manager who is not afraid to create new policies and procedures A genuine commitment to the not-for-profit aims, values and people it supports Ability to provide confident leadership while working collaboratively with Trustees, the Care Manager and staff. Strong decision making, problem-solving and organisational skills. Understanding of governance frameworks, policies, procedures and risk management. Ability to ensure policies and procedures are reviewed, implemented and kept up to date. Experience overseeing budgets, financial processes and business administration.
