Job Title: Electrical Cable Moulding Technician Location: Great Yarmouth Salary: 28-29k (37½ hours a week flexi-time between 7am and 7pm) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, soldering, and moulding of electrical and fibre-optic subsea cable terminations and connectors. This position requires proficiency in working with epoxy resins, polyurethane, and over-moulding systems to create watertight, pressure-resistant connections suitable for harsh subsea environments. Key Responsibilities Cable Preparation: Strip and prepare cable ends (electrical and/or optical) to specified lengths and standards. Terminate wires or fibres to connectors as per technical specifications. Clean and inspect materials for defects or damage prior to moulding. Soldering & Assembly: Solder cable conductors and connector pins accurately to ensure reliable electrical connections. Assemble components and ensure proper alignment before moulding. Operate and maintain soldering equipment safely and effectively. Moulding & Overmoulding Set up and operate cable moulding machines (e.g., injection or low-pressure moulding).
