Ajax Equipment is looking for an experienced
CAD Technician to support the successful delivery of solids handling and process equipment projects, from initial concept and detailed design to manufacture. This is a hands-on role combining
mechanical design, engineering calculations, project management, and customer liaison . You'll take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and commercial success while working closely with customers, suppliers, and our internal manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities Lead projects from order through to completion Develop and draw concepts, layouts, GA drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings Perform engineering calculations and technical assessments Act as the primary technical contact for customers and suppliers Coordinate project activities across design, manufacturing, procurement, and installation Ensure designs comply with relevant standards including
ATEX, PED, and Machinery Directive Support and mentor junior engineers where appropriate About You 5+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or machine design Awareness of solids handling, bulk materials, or process equipment Proficient in
