We’re currently recruiting full-time and part-time Care Assistants to join our dedicated team supporting service users across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Bedford South End Kempston

Queens Park Goldington Sandy

Biggleswade Shefford Henlow

Stotfold

And the surrounding villages and parishes.

Pay & Benefits

Weekdays (Mon-Fri): £13.40 per hour

Saturdays: £14.00 per hour

Sundays: £14.00 per hour

Mileage allowance: £0.30p per mile

Shift Patterns

Our services run 7 days a week, offering flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle:

Day Shifts: 8:00/9:00 AM – 2:00/3:00 PM

Evening Shifts: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Sleep-in/Waking nights Shifts: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Care Professional, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred support that prioritises dignity, respect, and compassion.

Your key responsibilities include:

Personal care (bathing, dressing, managing incontinence, toileting, and grooming)

Medication support (collecting prescriptions, providing reminders, and administration)

Meal preparation and nutrition (preparing tasty meals and mealtime assistance)

Mobility and equipment support (getting around safely, transfers, and using mobility aids)

Housekeeping (making/changing beds, laundry, tidying, light cleaning, and emptying commodes)

Companionship and emotional support (providing a listening ear, engaging conversations, and outings)

You’ll also:

Encourage social engagement and family connections

Monitor health and report any changes to healthcare professionals and family

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Respond to emergencies safely and effectively

Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team

Qualifications

What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape!)

Hold onto your hats, because you don't need any social care experience to join our merry band of care crusaders! We offer full, paid training — all you need is a heart of gold, reliability, and the drive to make a difference.

Driving Requirement: Access to a vehicle is strictly required due to the geographical nature of this role (you must hold a valid driving licence).

Genuine compassion and respect for others (kindness goes a long way!)

Strong communication and listening skills (that would make a UN diplomat jealous)

A positive, can-do attitude (as resilient as a rubber band and eager to learn)

Problem-solving abilities

Reliability and a caring, supportive nature

The right to work in the UK (sorry, time travellers from the future need not apply)
