Care Assistants – Rehabilitation Care Home Location: Dudley Pay rates: £13.50 – £19.50. per hour (depending on shift type) Job type: Flexible agency shifts Austin Dean Recruitment is urgently seeking experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to support residents at a rehabilitation care home in Brierley Hill. Our clients has a large residental home with a capacity of 48. The home cares for and supports elderly including people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Shift patterns * 7:30am–2:30pm * 2:30pm–9:30pm * 9:30pm–7:30am Shifts are available Monday to Sunday. Applicants must be flexible and available to work weekends. Key responsibilities * Supporting residents with personal care, dressing and mobility * Assisting with meals and feeding where required * Promoting residents’ dignity, independence and wellbeing * Monitoring and recording changes in residents’ health * Reporting concerns promptly to nursing or senior staff * Supporting social and recreational activities * Following safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures * Working effectively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams Essential requirements * Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar care role * Enhanced BDS * Right to Work * A compassionate, reliable and patient approach * Good communication and teamwork skills * Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends * Training with certificates: Practical Manual Handling, Manual Handling Theory, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Safeguarding Adults (SOVA), Medication, Epilepsy, Infection Control, Basic Food Hygiene and Safety, COSHH If you are a caring and dependable Care Assistant who wants to make a genuine difference to residents’ recovery, independence and quality of life, we would love to hear from you.
