Role Description The Care Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating care visits to ensure clients receive timely, consistent, and person-centered support. This full-time, on-site role, based in Oakham involves creating and updating care schedules, matching caregivers to clients, and adjusting rotas as client needs change. The Care Scheduler communicates daily with caregivers and clients, confirms visit details, and resolves scheduling conflicts to maintain high standards of service. The role includes maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and collaborating with the wider care team to provide a seamless care experience. The Care Scheduler also helps with some general office administration and contributes to continuous improvement of scheduling processes. This role includes being part of our out-of-hours on call rota usually 1 week in 5 by agreement.


Qualifications

  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure managing rotas and multiple schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, families, caregivers, and office colleagues.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and general IT skills, including working confidently with databases, email, and spreadsheets.
  • Attention to detail and reliability in maintaining accurate records, handling confidential information, and supporting compliance.
  • Customer service orientation and a compassionate approach
  • Happy to work collaboratively in an fast paced office-based care team, using initiative to solve problems and respond to changing needs.
  • Previous experience in care coordination, scheduling, or a similar administrative role is beneficial; experience in home care or health and social care is a great advantage.
  • Basic understanding of UK care standards and safeguarding principles would be lovely however; training and development opportunities will be provided. xwzovoh
  • Current DBS on the update service would be super however we would arrange this if you don't have this.
