Lead Premises Officer / Caretaker Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire Salary: £29,000 – £31,500 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 37 hours per week Start Date: ASAP, although the school will consider candidates working a notice period IC Talent are recruiting for an experienced and reliable Lead Premises Officer / Caretaker to join a primary school in the Sutton-in-Ashfield area. As the sole Premises Officer, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running, safety, security and maintenance of the school site. You will work closely with the Headteacher and school staff, as well as external contractors and cleaners. Key Responsibilities * Opening and securing the school each day. * General maintenance, repairs and caretaking duties. * Maintaining the school grounds and ensuring the site is safe and well presented. * Supporting risk assessments, health & safety and fire safety procedures. * Coordinating cleaners, contractors and estate services. * Liaising with external contractors and overseeing work on site. * Carrying out regular checks and ensuring facilities and equipment are safe and operational. * Acting as the main point of contact for the Headteacher and staff regarding premises matters. * Taking ownership of the overall condition and security of the school.
