My Key Recruitment is working with a growing, established maintenance business based near Bromsgrove, and we're looking for an experienced Carpenter to join their expanding team.
Carpentry is the key skill we're looking for. If you can also turn your hand to other areas of general building maintenance, even better - but we're not looking for someone who is an expert in every trade.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced carpenter who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants a secure, long-term position with a business where they'll be valued.
The Role
You'll be working across the West Midlands and surrounding areas, attending a mixture of commercial, office, residential and specialist properties.
The role will primarily involve carpentry and joinery work alongside reactive repairs and general building maintenance.
Your work could include:
Hanging, adjusting and repairing doors
Door frames, locks, handles and ironmongery
General first and second-fix carpentry
Skirting boards, architraves and timber repairs
Fixtures, fittings and general joinery
Reactive carpentry repairs
General property and building maintenance Got Other Trade Skills? Even Better.
While carpentry is the main requirement, experience in any of the following would be a bonus:
Painting & decorating
Plastering
Basic plumbing
Roofing
Groundworks
General building repairs
Property maintenance You absolutely do not need to be skilled in all of the above. We're looking for a strong carpenter first and foremost, with someone who's happy to turn their hand to other straightforward maintenance jobs when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has solid, hands-on carpentry experience
Takes pride in the quality of their work
Is comfortable working independently
Can problem-solve and use their own initiative
Is reliable, organised and professional
Is confident working on customer sites
Has a flexible, "can-do" approach
Ideally has experience within reactive or property maintenance
Is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity Most importantly, we're looking for someone who knows their trade, turns up, does a good job and takes pride in leaving the customer happy.
What's On Offer?
Permanent, full-time position
Monday to Friday working
Competitive salary
Company van for business use
Optional overtime
28 days' annual leave including Bank Holidays
Company credit card
Ongoing training and development

If you're an experienced Carpenter or Joiner looking for a permanent role where you'll get plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop further, we'd love to hear from you.
