The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. The successful HGV2 HIAB Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to customers, ensuring all goods are loaded, transported and unloaded in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.The ideal HGV2 HIAB Driver will take pride in their work, have a strong focus on safety and be committed to providing a high standard of service.Load and unload materials accurately and safely using the vehicle-mounted HIAB crane.Ensure all loads are correctly secured and comply with relevant legal and safety requirements.Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues immediately.Operate the HIAB crane and other relevant equipment safely and in accordance with current legislation.Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness, presentation and general housekeeping.Follow all company policies and procedures relating to transport, health and safety and security.Work effectively as part of a team to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.Take appropriate measures to protect company goods and property during transportation and delivery.Person Specification The successful HGV2 HIAB Driver will have:A valid Class 2 HGV driving licence.A valid HIAB / Lorry Mounted Crane Certificate.A valid Digital Tachograph Card.Previous experience working as an HGV2 HIAB Driver.Experience operating a vehicle-mounted crane.Forklift training would be advantageous.Grab lorry-mounted crane experience or certification would be beneficial.A good understanding of current transport legislation and health and safety requirements.A clean driving licence and a strong driving record.DVLA notification of any relevant medical conditions or disabilities, where applicable.GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English, or equivalent, would be desirable.The Ideal Candidate This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV2 HIAB Driver who is looking for a secure, permanent position with a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum.The successful HGV2 HIAB Driver will be dependable, safety-focused and confident when dealing with customers.
