Job summary

Reporting directly to the Catering Supervisor and accountable to the Catering Manager, the post holder will provide administration and clerical duties for the Trust wide catering department.

The position is office based in the main kitchen offices on the Tickhill Road Hospital site, and incidental contact is expected with patients and visitors to the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To provide admin support to the catering department on a day to day basis.

Duties include letter writing, diary management, placing orders on a daily basis with catering suppliers, filing, answering phone calls and passing on messages and other admin duties as detailed in the job description.

  • Health and safety in the workplace

Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role

  • Experience of NHS computer software systems
  • Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment

Qualifications

Essential

  • English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*- C or functional skills level 2)
  • Formal typing or word processing qualification or demonstrable experience
  • Basic IT qualification or demonstrable experience

Desirable

  • Advanced keyboard skills
