Host / Hostess – NHS Site Location: NHS site Job Type: Temporary Contract Length: Minimum 2 months Hours: 30 - 45 hours per week Start Date: Immediate start DBS Required: Standard DBS Food Hygiene: Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred, but can be obtained through our agency We are currently recruiting for Host / Hostess staff to work at one of our NHS sites on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a caring, professional and reliable approach who enjoys working in a healthcare environment. The role will involve supporting the catering and ward teams to deliver a high standard of food service to patients, staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Duties will include: * Serving meals, drinks and refreshments to patients * Supporting with meal service on the ward * Taking food and drink orders where required * Delivering and collecting meal trays * Ensuring patient areas are kept clean, tidy and hygienic * Following food safety, health and safety, and infection control procedures * Providing a friendly, polite and professional service at all times * Working closely with ward staff and catering teams Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have: * A Standard DBS or be willing to obtain one * Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred * Previous experience in hosting, catering, hospitality, healthcare, care, or customer service would be beneficial * A caring and respectful approach * Good communication skills * Reliability and good timekeeping * Ability to work well as part of a team * Flexibility and a positive attitude Level 2 Food Hygiene can be obtained through our agency if required.
