What is expected from me?
As a qualified Caulker you will have an important role within the business to stay professional throughout your contract delivering to the highest standard ensuring Safety, Health and Environmental regulations are followed.
Job Description
As a Caulker, you will be working on new equipment and machinery which is brought into the area to update the existing infrastructures This role will give you a varied work day as you will be working on new improvement process and development currently in place to reduce cost/timescales without compromising quality. Working closely with the welding an quality teams to ensure that their work meets current quality standards on a daily basis Gauging the circumferential butts of the submarine, this would also include hatches, water tight doors, air locks etc
Requirements
- Qualifications & Compliance: Holds a full Engineering Modern Apprenticeship, trade papers.
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
- Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etc
- Background in marine, Oil and Gas, major construction / manufacturing environment
