It's what delivering great healthcare should feel like.What you will be doingWith previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in a Neurological setting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promote good teamwork.As a Charge Nurse, you'll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivering of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit is performing well.

You'll also;Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teamsMonitor service users' conditions and respond to changesSupervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and supportMake critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocationBe liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaborationThis role will include 50% clinical and 50% managerial reasonability.No two days will be the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.Things that you will haveA relevant nursing qualificationNMC registrationStrong Neuro experience at Charge Nurse/Ward sister level.Tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG, catheter care competent practitionerExperience in leading a team within the complex Neurological/Respiratory care environmentA positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionateA commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practiceRelevant experience in a similar environmentProven track record of leadership skillsWhere you will be workingLocation: Lakefields Neurological Centre, Lambourne Road, Chigwell, IG7 6HHLakefields Neurological Centre is a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life.

The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care.Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment.
