Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with a highly regarded property and building consultancy to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to work on a varied portfolio of education-sector projects, providing professional building surveying advice to clients across the region. The Role You will be involved in a broad range of building surveying instructions, with a particular focus on education projects. Your responsibilities will include: Building surveys and condition assessments Planned maintenance and lifecycle advice Preparation of specifications and schedules of work Contract administration and project management Defect diagnosis and technical reporting Monitoring refurbishment and improvement works Providing professional advice to education-sector clients Managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities About You We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with strong technical knowledge and experience across a range of building surveying disciplines. You should have: MRICS qualification Previous experience working within a building surveying consultancy Strong knowledge of building pathology and construction Experience delivering projects from inception through to completion Experience of contract administration and project management Excellent communication and client-facing skills A genuine interest in working within the education sector Experience working on schools, colleges, universities or other public-sector estates would be particularly advantageous.
