CharteredSurveyorResponsibleforplanningandimplementingtheefficientmanagementoftheCouncilspropertyportfolio,i.e.lettings,rentreviews,leaserenewals,assignments,forfeitureetc.toensurethatincomesaremaximisedandbusinessobjectivesdelivered.
CharteredSurveyorOverseethemanagementoftheoperationsoftheCouncilscorporateportfolio,suchasindustrialestates/businessparks,markets,CountyFarms,grazing,harbours,retailincludingRiversideshoppingcentreetc.
CharteredSurveyorTogetherwiththeStrategicPropertyManagerensureimplementationanddeliveryoftheStrategicAssetManagementPlan.Supportinginternaldepartmentsontheannualreviewandchallengeofoperationalassetsrequirements,ensuringtheportfolioisfitforpurposeandmeetsservicedeliveryneeds,seekingtoreducerevenueexpenditurewherefeasible.
CharteredSurveyorTogetherwiththeseniorPropertyleadershipteamFosteramodelofabusinesspartneringapproachtopropertymanagementwithinternaldepartmentswithintheauthority.
WorkingalongsidetheHeadofProperty,EconomicDevelopment&RegenerationtoensureassetvaluationsarecarriedoutinaccordancewithCIPFAguidance.
Contributetotheimplementationofbusinessimprovementsandidentificationoffurtheropportunitiestoimprovetheefficiencyoftheservice.
ThereisfullandongoingresponsibilityforthesupervisionofthePropertyAssetManagers(surveyors).
Thisincludestherecruitmentandselectionofstaff,allocatinganddirectingwork,performancemanagement,identifyingtrainingneedsandrespondingtoanymattersrelatingtosicknessabsenceorconduct.
